ISP Litchfield Scale Visit

Join the Illinois Trucking Association and Illinois State Police for a behind-the-scenes look at the roadside inspection process during the ISP Litchfield Scale Visit.

This hands-on training opportunity will give attendees a better understanding of what happens when a commercial motor vehicle and driver are directed to the inspection area. Illinois State Police officers will walk participants through the inspection process and explain what they are looking for during Level I, Level II, and Level III DOT inspections.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to speak directly with officers, ask questions, and discuss common issues or concerns related to scale operations, roadside inspections, driver interactions, and violations that may impact their companies.

Whether you work in safety, compliance, operations, or fleet management, this event offers a valuable opportunity to better understand the inspection process from the officer’s perspective and take practical information back to your drivers and company.

Two sessions will be offered, with attendance limited to 20 participants per session:

Session 1: 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Lunch: 11:30 AM
Session 2: 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM

Lunch will be provided for attendees from both sessions at 11:30 AM.
